Ms. Jodi came to Mount Olive in 2012. She began her time here as a volunteer after spending 10 years at home with her children and a yearlong battle with breast cancer. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Southern California and worked with an agency providing behavioral therapy to children with autism immediately following graduation. She specialized in the integration of children with special needs into elementary school classrooms and guided teachers in the best classroom environment to achieve this goal. After raising two sons her passion for working with children returned. She earned her certificate in Early Childhood Education and Administration in 2014 from UCLA and taught in our toddler classroom for 4 years before become director in 2017. Ms. Jodi grew up in Palos Verdes where she has spent most of her life. She loves baseball, travel and spending time with her family.
Ms. Pam has been in the field of early childhood education for over 35 years. She came to Mount Olive Preschool in 1997 and has been with us for 20 years. Her goal for children is to develop a sense of personal pride, independence, confidence and self-esteem in order to start successful in Kindergarten. Her thorough Kindergarten readiness program will prepare her class emotionally and developmentally to shine in the academic world ahead. We enjoy having many past students come back to visit Ms. Pam and express their love for their former teacher and preschool. Ms. Pam enjoys spending time with her family and her grandchildren.
